Then there's Nod

Nod was the first to become friendly. One day a week after they arrived she climbed on my lap and started to purr. She remains the most outgoing of the three and leads the others on all kinds of adventures. One day I opened the door to go up to the kitten room and here came Nod running down the stairs. Since I'd left them confined I was surprised to see her. She was surprised too. They had been playing with a scratching toy that hung from the doorknob and suddenly the door opened. I was happy that she ran to see me.

Blynken

Blynken and Wynken take turns being the scaredy cat but they are both getting friendlier every day. She is calico on her head and tail and has the cutest little round dot on her side.

Wynken Blynken and Nod

Wynken Blynken and Nod one night sailed off in a wooden shoe.
This is Wynken. When she came home with me she was a spitting snarling frightened girl. Now she's learning that she can trust someone who feeds her regularly and brings toys too!

Goodbye A-Team

Allie and Annie were too cute. They just had to have one last post. By now they should be ruling their new homes.

What a cat!

Belle may be the smartest of my cats. She finds audiobooks quite interesting. Note that she's listening intently to Dewey the Library Cat!

Goodbye, Hello

Yesterday Bootsie and Herbie went in to seek their families. Bootsie looks alarmed but was welcomed by other kittens right away. Herbie was practicing his adorable please adopt me look.
Meet the new kittens on the block. They're the A-team Anna, Alise, Allie, and Aeryn. They look so much alike it will take me a while to tell them apart but they are bouncy, pouncy, and adorable.

New Kids on the Block

Herbie and Bootsie are settling in. Being new they are pretty fearful. Herbie is the more outgoing one but Bootsie is getting more trusting every day. I hope to get some video because they are very acrobatic and fun to watch.

Twice as Gorgeous

Humphrey and Lauren have set off to seek their families. They have doubled in size and are gleaming with health. I had to help them fight off the usual URI and other ailments but they are in great shape now. I hope they find great homes.
The kitten room is now awaiting the next group.

Gorgeous

Do you know who came to my house? The orange boy is Humphrey Bogart and of course the tabbico girl is Lauren Bacall! They took a roadtrip to Cloverdale but were not big enough yet so my job is to fatten them up and play with them. I'll do my best. :)
I was sorry to learn that beautiful Frosty was still in the cat colony and that Adelaide, pretty tuxedo girl and her tortie daughter Willow are also waiting for their home. Willow has been visiting the Farmer's market on a halter so if you are looking for a cat who enjoys going for walks this is your girl.

Empty Nest

Ramona and her kittens came but sadly the kittens didn't survive. Ramona hid under the bed until we removed her took her off for medical treatment. She was one sick kitty.
Meanwhile Willow and Adelaide came for TLC. As far as we could tell Adelaide is Willow's mom.
They had been sick and just needed a quiet place to recover. I should have taken pictures, they were pretty girls. They have now gone off to find their home(s).
Now the nest is empty awaiting HEALTHY kittens.

Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

Sweet Quita, snuggly Sadie and outrageous Otis have all found homes! They were the only little ones and they went fast. I hope they have loving families and happy lives.

Oh, Oh, Otis!

"Big" kittens went in to to seek their fortunes Friday night. By Sunday Zaylee was adopted and Baldric found a family pending landlord check. Sadie and Quita are waiting to be big enough for their surgery. So when I heard about a single kitten about their size I thought it would be fun to add him to the family. Otis has other ideas! He growls and snarls at the girls and screams for attention when I leave him alone. I'm pulling out all the tricks to help him settle in. Usually kittens are much more adaptable. Settle down, Otis!

CUTE, CUTE, CUTE, CUTE, CUTE, CUTE

Baldric is one cute tabby. Zaylee is a sleek black beauty.

Paddy is busy and friendly

Quita is a cuddly purrbaby.

Sadie is glad to have Quita to lean on! They are darling kittens and all but the little girls (Quita and Sadie) are ready for homes. Quita and Sadie didn't quite make weight so they haven't been spayed yet.
When I visit them it is not at all unusual to have all 6 on me at once. Three on my left arm, two on my lap and one on my shoulder. They are very friendly kittens! I wish I had pictures of them piling on me! They would be good for a laugh.

Homes!

When I took kittens in last week there was a group of people waiting to see them. They described what they were looking for.........male, playful yet cuddly. When I told them Ramsey fit that description perfectly and pulled him out of the carrier they were instantly smitten. They had an orange kitty in their past that they remembered very fondly so they were secretly hoping for an orange kitty. So he found a great family with two other kitties to keep him entertained.
Snowflake has also found her family. I didn't get to meet them but they picked a sweet, slightly shy kitten so they must be good people.
I had an empty kitten room for a couple of days but got the call on Saturday that a group of 4 week old kittens had been turned in. I did not name these kittens! Paddy, Sade, Baldric, Quita, Richey, and Zaylee will show up soon in pictures. Three are tuxedo, one black, one very tabby and one with a few stripes. Two long hair. They are sweet, busy, hungry. I hope to post pictures soon.
