Small but Mighty
Gooseberry, the smallest of the bunch holds her own against her brothers and sisters and even fends off Mulberry's motherly efforts.
The Berries have moved from the newborn nursery to a room of their own. They are making the most of it, running and climbing like crazies. They range in weight from 15 ounces, Gooseberry, to 1 lb 4 oz (Huckleberry) Mulberry does her best to keep them in line but every day she asks for a room of her own!

Stepping Out

Playtime
Three weeks old now the Berries have learned to sit up. They walk with more confidence and are beginning to step over their sibs instead of on them! Now they are beginning to play and chew on each other. Note the tiny extremely sharp claws. Mulberry takes great care of them but is clearly longing for a little adult conversation. She's very proud of her family but reminds me that she is a darling kitty who deserves attention too.

The EYES Have It!

Comforts of Home
Mulberry is a great mom but apparently you can't please all the kittens all the time. Check out the displeased looking fella in the center of the picture. He's sleeping peacefully with a full tummy but he still looks like he's trying out for Disapproving Rabbits http://www.disapprovingrabbits.com/
The quilt is now hanging on the sale wall at Bloomington Veterinary Hospital. All quilt sale proceeds help homeless animals.
Kittens now have EYES! This is wonderful and they are much cuter when their eyes open. At this point they are also much more active and harder to photograph. I'll try for pictures soon.
