Berry Good News

I went to the shelter today to drop off some donated items for the animals and checked on the Berries. All the Berries except Gooseberry have been adopted! I spent some time cuddling Gooseberry who seems quite content with her new kitten friends. I'm hoping she'll find her family soon.

Making friends with the big cats

Oliver has discovered the joys of sleeping in a pile of cats. Kittens usually sleep this way but he has been alone without buddies to snuggle with.
He's been to the clinic to be neutered and he's now listed on Petfinder so hopefully he'll find a great home. While he waits he'll have sweet dreams.

Oliver was only a little over 1 pound when he came to HoosierKitty land. Just the size of a small shoe. Now he's almost 2 pounds and living it up with the other cats. He loves to chase the big cats from room to room and then he snuggles in the cat quilts. He'll be adoptable soon, he'd love to be your kitty.

Home for Christmas - The Potters

Six darling kittens spent October - December growing big and adoptable. After they were neutered they were in great demand since there aren't lots of little kittens at Christmastime.

We named them Hagrid, Minerva, Sirius Black, Ginny Weasley, Luna, and Hermione.

Thumb Kittens

Polydactyl cats have many names. They were considered lucky as ships cats and are still common in the Boston area. Many of the cats in the Hemingway colony are polydactyl so some call these cats Hemingway cats. These three kittens have the cutest paws, they look like mittens. Thumb kittens, Hemingways, mitten kittens, polydactyls, call them what you want these are charming lovable guys who need great homes.

Success Story

Barnaby (now Clyde) was in foster care since birth. When you adopt a kitten from foster care you will have a pet that has been loved and socialized. Clyde adapted to a new name and a new life very happily. Three of his very cuddly siblings would like to find their families.
